Running Windows Home Server 2011, recently had an operating disk failure, restored successfully, everything is working OK except when I do a full metal backup of the server I get a failed backup and the string of error logs as below. Situation was that used/assigned/maximum size was nearly the same values, but I changed it to be the following (and it did not make any differenceĬ:\Windows\system32>vssadmin list shadowstorage So I guess the Nvidia USB fix mentioned elsewhere does not apply as well (device manager says 'Intel(R) 5 Series/3400 Series Chipset Family USB Enhanced Host Controller - 3B34'). system has 8 GB RAM, but chipset is Intel P55 so I guess I don't have Nvidia-based USB trying to back up to 1.5 TB external HDD (Western Digital) connected via USB I've read lots and lots of threads here, so here is what I tried so far and what I can give as information: I'm not doing a backup for the whole drive,īut for selected folders from several partitions (being on the same physical HDD). Seems the Backup problem with error code 0x80070002 struck me as well:īackup fails with only 0x80070002 and no further information.
